Ruminants and their Shroom Habitats DUPHATAMIYA ROAD
Koh Samui, Thailand

Hello to all lovers of mushrooms. Here is a photographic essay of one of the of the habitats of Psilocybe cubensis and/or Psilocybe subcubensis, and an unidentified species of Lepiota, found in two large fields about 30 yards north of Highway 4170 off of Highway 4169 on a road called Duphatamiya. This road is across from two cultural shops selling Samui made items for the tourist industry. About 1/8th of a mile down the road are two giagantic Coconut Groves on both sides of the road with Buffalo present. I have nver found any Copelandia mushrooms at this site, although there was an old not used in several years, remnants of a buffalo arena on the property of the one on the left and an old water well is noticible formthe highway. A km up the road is a military installation and a soldier will pas toursits through who want to venture tot he 400 meter altitude of the island's famed Tarnim magic gardens. Below are images of the field onthe left side of the road and some mushrooms harvested in manure and manured soil.
